Wish this is a good year for all! I've been reading lots of mangas lately (no work or school, which leaves unlimited online surfing) and I really recommend "Crossroad"!! Though most who like action comics will not like it but those who like Shoujo-Comedy mangas will really have to try reading it. (*only found in MangaFox.com) Its completed so it really beats waiting for the next chapter (which, in the mean time lets you forget what happened in the previous chapters  )Also, there is "CatStreet", which good in terms of the story but the art...ha,ha...lets just say Crossroad's was much better. Though I'll really give credit for the story line. It's about this former child star who, because of a sudden stage fright, lost her will to live normally for many years (She always stayed in her room and only had an elementary education). This manga shows how she stood again after so many years of shutting herself from the world, with the help of her friends she met in a not-so-normal school. Once again, its completed! (Ye!) Lastly, there is this manga that I recommend for those who are interested in acting. "SkipBeat!" (yes, and including the exclamation mark) I'm not saying that it is a guide to stardom, but it helps , a little:) Though this doesn't not really portray the realistic life of a starting actress, this does show how the life would be if you are REALLY lucky. Some doesn't even apply to real life. Like, don't EVER try doing what the main character did to get into an agency (you would definitely get sued!) The bad thing about this manga is that you have to wait for like months to get the next chapter  ... But, its like 100 over chapters now, so it can kill your time while you wait for the next one. (Just like what I did for "D.Grayman", which btw is very popular, so no introduction needed whatsoever)Oh, yes,and "Claymore"...damn cool! A bit emo...but damn cool! XD I don't really know how to introduce this but...action and cool fighting scenes are everywhere:) Haha, but it is rather bloody...(though in anime the blood of the monsters are in purple -_-?? Actually I came back on 19th (but who cares, no one misses me  )Anyway... I went back the second time not to play but...to help prepare for the funeral. A long and depressing story. Did have tears in my eyes when I first saw Grandpa's Picture placed in front of his body. (I mean it was covered so we couldn't see a thing.) Looking at grandma, I felt hurt all over again. She tried to be strong...but sometimes when talking about Grandpa, she cried. She was skinnier than before, it was obvious that she had not been sleeping well. My uncle came back and forth from Taipei cos he still have to work, in the mean time he tried to ease my Grandma's work load. Our arrival made things easier...including the fact that I'm (self-proclaimed and certified) nocturnal. While my relatives sleep early to wake up the next day for work and school, we (the ones on holiday) did our routines American style...in other words, the other way round. I still do that, sleeping through the afternoon while staying up till 6 in the morning. I manage to do that just this morning, with the 2nd record 7.30am. (1st is 9.30am...yes, I know..scary isn't it?) The funeral was the hardest part. I don't want to talk about it so you guys just have to imagine the grief and the tension in facing all my grandpa's "friends",(who cames when your life is the grandest and goes when you are facing a crisis. Ya,friends indeed...though some do helped a little), which was an entire hall of them. Or rather don't imagine it. It hurts so much to remember the sounds of the silent cries. I guess we all hate ourselves for not doing more for Grandpa while he was still walking. I know I do.... Posted by Yukari.由香里 at
