Having my first S&W : DanceSport - A module which I chose single-mindedly...( I mean, facing the volleyball, soccer, gym, etc.....this is the best next to Yoga, which was not avaliable in my timeslot ): ) So, I'll be doing Latin Cha-Cha and Salsa, love the idea....but I've never attended dance lessons (except for ballet, which is like ages ago!) Love the subjects (no humanities=no down-right failing, yeh!), love the friends, love the wide range of food and books (the library is damn big!),..... hate the walking -_-... Haha, but overall, it is fantastic =D (still waiting for the CCAs) I still haven't finish my homework....which makes me wonder why I'm here blogging....but anyway ..There are many that I still don't understand! omg... It's like a mini inter-sch amazing race....I'm guessing losing 3kg in 1 week is actually possible for me! Anyway, took MRT to Clementi (packed), and NP shuttle bus (Almost got lost looking for it, then found out that its at the other side....) to get to school. I don't know if it was my nerve or something, after I stepped into the lecture hall, my stomach got upset and I had to go toilet. In the end I found Yanling and sat down. (The lecture went on with my stomach growling...) Finally we went for break and the nuggets there were delicious! Haha! Then we got separated to our classes and since Yanling and I already know we are in the same class (its fate I tell u...she was the first friend I ever made in np!), we looked for the class A01. There, we found Lingyu (our second friend made in np, what's up with this fate?!) She had a DPA so she became our tour guide when we were going for lunch.( All there's missing is the tour flag and the speaker, haha!) There is also Kate. A very nice girl and also 18 this year! She have this unique name which sounds so Spanish-y, Kate Pauline M Luanzon, lol...but she is a Fillipino =D Looking for the canteen is like hell. It was the period of the 'incrowd' so the whole Makan Place was like so crowded. Even Canteen 2 was packed, but we managed to get a place and buy some drinks and Takoyaki. Oh! And I met so many old friends! I saw ChunHui, Debbie, Soon Teck, Eric, Hizwani, LeXin and Shun Zhen all in one day! It's a wonder that such a huge school has such a small world..... Thank you mum! Now, comes the main part of this post... School is starting at 20 April and I have 8 modules to juggle with my work (which is definitely compulsory cos I need the $$). Actually I only have 7 modules for my course this semester, but I took another language...so yeh, it'll be fun (until the day of the exam o.O) Feeling tired just thinking of it... Anyway, saw the notes for my third language (fourth, if I count my parents' native language, which I still have lots to learn...) and omg, it looks so hard! However, I'm planning to get the Cert. for that language so, I have to endure! Bring it on!!!

I saw stars!! Not that much but at least I saw more than one or two. Since I live in a area where there are lots of buildings and lights, it is very rare that I could see that much stars. Feeling really happy now!! Ok, back to Earth... Working on Saturday and Sunday at 9am-4pm, so for those who wanted to drop by...you are more than welcome =D Oh yeh, wanna go to NP to buy notes and other stuffs tomorrow but I'm afriad I'll get lost (again), anyone can accompany me?! $143++ It was a big box...with only a registration card and a installation CD, damn light! I thought they will provide us with manuals or something... Tried on my mum's com first, it couldn't be installed. Kept showing me the "installation failed" window. Ok, that's not all, the worst was "this software is out-dated". That, completely knocked me out... Did some search on the web and found out that there was another new version. I thought what I bought was the latest... stupid mistake no. 1. Couldn't find a solution, so I did a installation on my laptop, thinking that maybe because my mum's computer has no genuine Windows Software....stupid mistake no. 2. My lappy went auto-shut down before the full installation and I couldn't open my laptop without the safe mode on. So, I went to download the free version, thinking that I really need some protection cos the windows kept prompting me about my lack of anti-virus software....stupid mistake no.3. My lappy continue to hang so I served the net with the safe mode on.(really ugly, the icons are like melon-size in front of my face....ok, not that big..) After some banging and some "omg; wth; shouldn't have brought this; arggg!!!" I finally found the solution to all this problem; upgrading with my licence number. Went into that site a thousand times only to find it was at the bottom of the site. Not scrolling down; (really) stupid mistake no.4. Started downloading the new version, feeling very happy that I finally found the solution and was kind of feeling proud of myself. When the downloading was completed, I restarted the laptop, only to find that it couldn't turn on normally. Had to uninstall the whole program and install it again. Installing when com is still in safe mode; stupid mistake no.5. Finally installed everything into two of our computers/laptop and had to do activation. Couldn't understand why it couldn't work and the expiry date is still set as the trial period, so I sent "Licence no. entered but expiry date still set as 30 days after installation. Activation failed." requesting for help. I continued searching for clues on why the activation could not work when I revisited my email. I've mistaken the licence key(sent though email after registration) with the consumers' no. ( needed for registration)....stupid mistake no.6. Now fully completed installation, I worked on the last one, which was still down at 66% and stucked. Risking a try, I cancelled that download to restart a new one, thinking that it will start at 66%. Stupid mistake no.7....It restart at 0%...which after 2 hours, still strangling at 23%... The funny thing is, I did a quiz called "Your hidden talent" and my result was "Techno geek". Happy reading that extra long post! XD Okie...now its about my work today. Had work at 7am today. And...I finally learned a few customer-favourite hot drinks! Wooh hoo!! For those who come and visit me, I'll (try to) make you all the drinks....can't do discount/more ingredents/etc. though...cos 1. It will taste weird 2. Let me tell u what happened... First Day: After the debrief of LSCT, it was time for the camp at 3pm. At first it was like the usual camps, GLs (group leaders) trying to get people high, did a lot of cheers just to do that. Typical stuff... So you can see a bunch of people getting high on the "stage" of the lecture hall...They divided us into 8 groups, classified as either "Dark" or "Good" side. In the Dark side there is Vader from Starwars, Joker from Batman(that's us XD), JigSaw from no idea, and Bison(no idea wat is it). Good side there is Hellboy from HellBoy, Mulan from Disney:P, Gorden(heard its from PowerRangers...no idea wats that!) and Conan from Detective Conan (a Jap Manga for those who don't know..) Next they brought us to the sports complex to some hall to put our bags and change to our unwanted clothes (Of-cos this sounds bad....u have no idea...) We went to a field and wow, u should have seen what they did to that place....mud, butter and a lot of water..... All of us have this kind of expression on our faces  Yeh.. it was that bad... We were to 1. Tie our legs together (as a group) and form a circle with balloons between us and walk towards a watermelon (On the way, some GL poured flour over us and rub butter on our back and legs!) 2. Eat the watermelon (But we didn't do that, they just dig the watermelon and drop it on the field..no one will know..:P) and take the shell 3."Export" 5 girls to the other side by two guys. They have to use only two arms in the process..then the rest were off to 4. Crawl under strings and on (u guessed it) mud, water and butter, with incoming missiles of muddy water. Definitely have to close ur mouth and eyes when u go in! 5. Fill a bucket with the extremely dirty and oily water with tee-shirt, hand, the melon shell and...well, all the things u can find... 6. Form a caterpillar and ran toward the finishing line(back to the starting line). It's like right hand holding the person in front and left hand goes under the legs, and it goes on and on, boy-girl alternate! the problem is, because our hands where so oily that when we ran, our hands slipped lots of time! In the end we didn't win...but it was rather fun:) Had a cheer-off to see who gets to wash up first....got third I think..after washing with a hose,we still feel very oily :( Couldn't wear our shoes cos we were all soaking wet, so we walked back bare-footed. Then it was dinner time. (didn't eat the Veggies...Very Typical :P) We felt so cold as we were still wet and the wind was blowing, lucky that it wasn't such a big wind. After dinner, we sat in circles to discuss about our campfire play. The group decided to do a play about Joker and Batman. The storyline goes like this: Joker and Catwoman were in a having an affair and Batman didn't know it. The paparazzis caught them together and their affair went on the News. Batman, still in love with Catwoman kidnapped her and demanded a ransom of 3 million from Joker. Unable to pay, Joker decided to rob a bank. He brought the $$ to the designated location but even with the 3 million, Batman still refuses to return Catwoman. Feeling angry, Joker and his minions attacked Batman and his companions (in other words, gang fight). At last, Joker and Batman were the only once left standing and with a furious battle of Scissors-Paper-Stone, Joker finishes with the a 'Paper' attack, pinned down Batman, and got back Catwoman. And they lived happily ever after! It was a rather funny play, I volunteered to act as the reporter (paparazzi). Had to throw annoying questions at the couple, haha! After that we proceed on to the water games, and it was already dark... Each group were given a 'tsue-box' aka, 'a tissue in the middle of square cupboard'. We have to keep the tissue in the middle out of water as GLs will throw water booms at us to make us wet. That, we get a few points. Another way to get points is to collect as much of the water bombs' bags as we could and each cost 1 point. (Actually it's a plan for us to clean up. U know how I know? Cos after the game, they didn't really count them, they ask us to all throw it away -_-''') Anyway, after the games we were so wet and cold and all really want to take a bath real bad. However, as usual, it was Packed! At last I've bathe and ready to get to bed... It was already 4am... Second Day: Woke up at 8am, and gathered at 9am. After that, we were told to change to unwanted clothes, again...(known that already, so I slept in it) Tell u, the games that are coming up next, even worst than the day before! We went to the field first, and as usual, it was with butter, mud and water....but with a few more extra ingredients....eggs and soy sauce!!! Omg..the smell! I got a stomach ache suddenly and asked to go to the toilet.  Well, I couldn't pee or poo so I end up there again after a few minutes (felt better...it was the on/off stomachache that I usually have in the morning.) When I got there, a few of my teammates already have their butts soaking wet (still have no idea what they did though..) Round two was something like the Dog-and-Bone, my no. was 12 and was the first one to be called. We actually have to dive for eggs hidden in the deep (dirty)water paddle and the colour of the egg was completely covered by the water that I was confused on what to catch. I was like standing there having no clue, then they all shouted, "Catch the egg!!". Since I have no idea, I just dived and then, the egg was revealed. I saw it and snatched it, trying to roll away but was touched by the opponent team. In the end, I think they won, that round. Next was round 3. the GLs refilled the place with more eggs, butter, soy sauce and we have to play Scissors-Paper-Stone while rolling to our opponent. Went twice;lost twice -_-... So after that we went bare foot again and guess what? It was in the hot day and the road was like really heating! We had to jump around and try to find the areas with grass! I know we are tasty...but roast us? Even prepared with butter and soy sauce!? Next stop, was the battle of the flour. Why was that? Cos we all will end out with white hair and white face. We had to try and blow the ping pong balls out of a box of flour. Didn't make it...:( The GL in-charged had to stop me and told me to go back... was so embarrassed! Oh ya, forgot to mention, in all this process, we had to have a banana between our knees. The flour in the end got hardened and stick to our hair cos of the water activities we had later...it was like really bad dandruff... Third, random food items. Cos we were so oily, the GLs in charge pardon us on the human lever thing (u know the one u had to carry people by their legs and they have to walk with their hands?) Instead, we did the duck walk. When it was me and my partner's turn, they read a no. and we had to find the plate, open the plate and eat the thing inside. What we got was celery and lemon....remember that I don't eat veggies? I puke the one celery that I place in my mouth! My partner had to eat everything for me (then puke it out again) Really sorry!!! The luckiest thing that happened to one of the pairs was that they got sweets (gummy bears) twice! At first people were sort of jealous, so they told them to go once more cos they had to repeat a team. Then, once they got there, someone shouted, "They got Gummy Bears again!". We were So Jealous now... Fourth, water games...all water!!( plus some colourings...but hey, at least it was clean) Had to pass with garbage bags and newspaper (which later they used the guys' tee-shirts). GLs will throw the bomb bags and spray water from second story trying to make us drop our bomb bags. That was my favourite game, cos we were cleaned up by the water hose they spray at us. We actually felt clean! Ok....now what made us go OMG is the game that last and final game..... Extremely dirty game! With Butter, soy sauce and more flour, this time with little water to diffuse the mixture. We had to have all go in and lay on it...and what is worst is that because we were the last group to play that game, everything leftover was poured onto us! I could feel the soya on my hair and butter on my head, back and legs! It was totally nuts man! Our hands were dirty so those who didn't go in due to allergies took them for us...(imagine their baggage...once again, Sorry!!!) We went back to the sports hall, but on the way, a teacher (I think) stopped us cos we are dripping with sauce. Lectured to our GL about us going up to the 2nd lvl (yup..I think he is a teacher..) In the end, we were told to wash our hands and feets before we took our clothes from the hall....should had seen the toilet, it was all ours!! Haha! Lucky I rushed down..:P ** Will update about the night and the third day tommor...cos I have work at 7am.. o.O, kk gotta sleep now, stay tune for part 2!! ** Back for part 2!-- Okay, so after we bathe, we discuss again on how to do our play. It was followed up by the indoor campfire (many still joked, "where is the fire?" "They are going to show a video of it..."). Did our performance and there was the DanceOff after that. Chicken dance, Makaraina( sry, don't know how to spell..), square dance (in which u have to find a male partner...don't even know the guys I danced with...) and just plain...dancing.... We were all sweaty and too tired to "party" anymore, and now comes...the nightwalk... We were separated into two group in all, one to enter the LSCT main block( I think..) and another to the Famous/Infamous Block 50. The GLs took us to one place and told us to never go in odd numbers and not to talk loudly. They talked about that nightwalk experiences...one which I refused to listen, so I covered my ears. I was in the group heading towards LSCT....lucky me...or so I thought... There were many people and the GLs actually suggested that we should do it Solo, that scared the crap out of me!(literally) However, it took too long...it was already 3pm and we still weren't even close to our turns! Now, people are already starting to sleep. The GLs knew that we were tired (I know they were too) so they speed up the walk, we were going in pairs! Now here comes the worst and heart-sinking part..."Jokers, follow me, we are going ...Blk 50.." Imagine the thunder roared and lightning strike at the same time, ya...it was going on in my brain.... We paired up (boy-girl), and were lead off to another location. Everyone were tired and wanting to get this over with...my partner and I were the second last pair to enter the block. We were told to go down a staircase and into the building next to it. I was already terrified, so I asked permission to hold his hand (yes, even before entering...I was really afraid that I might be shipped off to another dimension or something, like the Bermuda Triangle...lame thinking...I know..) So before we entered the building, there was this 'thing' sitting at the bench and making the eerie sound. My partner thinks that it was one of our GL, cos he does have long hair. He then asked, "You are Darryl right?" That 'thing' of cos didn't answer (I mean, they were there to scare us in the first place, so why on earth will they bother to answer us? No answer= Scarier) I just told him to keep on walking....that 'thing' actually followed us.....now that's scary... Anyway, it was dark and random people will appear at random places. One even hid in a classroom and suddenly jumped out at us. Strangely, I didn't scream....I just shouted,"OMG!"and squeezed my partner's hand...Another one was lying at the side of the corridor. I did felt the warmth already, so I was being careful not to step on them. I couldn't see them so I decided to take it slowly when walking that route...who knows, that person laying down thought I was scared so he/she did a "WAH!" to let me scream. I wasn't sure of my reaction after that...I think it was,"ah.." I got to thank the GLs, seriously. They decorated the place with garbage bag ceiling hangers, fake dummies stuff with tissues and, oh yes...the all important light-sticks. It made the nightwalk seems a lot less scarier. They made it look like Halloween. Finally, after many twist and turns, going up and down the stairs, we finally reached the end. It was really fun and I really don't mind going in there again, provided there is a person with me. Felt really stinky and sticky after the nightwalk, why was it after we bathed? I was too tired, so I just wiped my back, leg and dozed off. It was already 6.30am. Third Day: We were actually excused to wake up before 10am...but I still woke up at 8.30am. When I opened my eyes, the first thing I saw was my leg...and what was on it. Someone drew "Joker Ruxs" X5 all over my right leg while I was asleep. Still feeling drowsy, I took my friend's offer of wet tissue and wept it off without thinking. (Darn! I should have taken a picture of it!) Anyway, it was our last day and we took lots of pictures. I really miss U all!! Joker Rules!!! P.s.: When I reached home, I was so tired that I actually dozed off while I was on a toilet bowl! And...I slept from 4pm to 10am the next morning (Skipped dinner, wasn't even feelin hungry :P) P.s.s: I saw my sec 3-4 classmate and he was in charge of taking our camp photos. just to sum up: I've dropped a hotdog before I even got a bite, eaten Sake Sushi buffet and bought a $12 black Tee.... Yeh..the Sushi part, took us a long time cos we were practically having a "during sec sch life" conversation....so fun, we were so noisy :P Oh yes...the manager sms and ask me if I could go there at 7am-2pm on Sat and Sun, just hope that I don't fall asleep before 12....-_-.... Learned how to steam the milk for hot drinks. Really scary cos it sometimes will spill out and, let me tell you, it was damn hot! I almost got scald because of my natural instinict ( I actually touched the metal part of the tube!) Anyway, I still have lots to learn and remember.... Was actually suppose to work today, but I asked the manager if I could "rest for Sunday". -_-... A straight demerit, I guess... But it wasn't for no reason. Can't expect me to suddenly come out of the comfort of my home and work for 3 days straight! (It's even a surprise that I ain't dead yet...) I mean, I even have problems having a conversation with people on the first day! Then again...it is a real bad excuse... (Told u I'm a 宅女and a serious one in fact!) Furthermore, I think I'm sick. Had a bad sore throat for two days and kept coughing. Lucky it wasn't that serious when I was working...I was actually crying for joy when the sms came and told me that I don't need to go today, cos I could sleep-in till late! (woke up at 11.30am this morning/afternoon :P) Next will be an outing and the orientation camp:D Going out!! Haha, I'm looking forward to it! Just wish I don't spend too much $$ :P (Eudy, Min, hold me back if I got out of control!) Three days two nights camp, I heard that it might be harsh. Just wish that the night-walk isn't that scary...I know that I couldn't get out of it like how we did in JC camp :P (Thank u rain!!) They say they are happy with my glooming but I'll still have to touch up on my "makeup-less" face. (probably cos of my deep black eye bag; black panda is my middle name...) Thus the quest of hunting makeup items. Spent about $150+ yesterday on these...(felt bad,cos my mum paid the bill...sorry:< ) The makeup artisite did a makeover on me and suggested those products and boy, do I look funny! Maybe thats because I'm not used to it...then again, my eyes are bigger than usual...scary.... Follow up is my hunting of shoes, (remember I had worn out two within one week? I was out of shoes...) and bought the replacements, one black and one red high heels (love the heels!! Good for increasing my....inferiority XD ) Mum paid for it, again.... I swear I'll use my own money next time! Sorry!!! Today went to the clinic for injection, a must if I want to touch any the food. After that, I waited for my shift on 11pm. At last, I could make some Frappes! Learnt Double Chocolates, Mocha, and Mango Smoothies! This is so cool! (Although I still have problems with the whip cream and remembering the right ingredients....) Since it was friday, in the afternoon it was a peak period. The sink was filled with unwashed blenders , cups and plates. It was a total mess! So when we need to use another blender, we had to wash it again... but that happens for only a moment, cos apparently customers came all in one go and it went quiet after that. My senior was right...it really was nuts during peak periods! Still, I will feel a bit nervous...it was like having an exam cos at anytime those seniors will suddenly ask me what were the ingredients to make a certain drink....stressful.... Ah, I finally understand those who said "I don't feel like going to work tomorrow...", cos I'm feeling the same way now :P Posted by Yukari.由香里 at |
